CBD Punjab Accelerates Urban Transformation with Global-Standard Development Drive
Punjab’s urban development ambitions gained fresh momentum this January as CEO CBD Punjab, Imran Amin, conducted detailed on-ground reviews of two of the authority’s most high-profile projects, NSIT City and CBD Walk, signaling a firm commitment to world-class standards, sustainable planning, and transparent execution.
During site visits held on January 17 and January 24, 2026,CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin delivered a clear and uncompromising message: quality will not be negotiated at any stage of development. From structural integrity to public realm design, every component must align with international benchmarks and long-term urban sustainability goals.
At NSIT City, the focus has shifted decisively toward shaping a future-ready technology and innovation hub. Progress on hardscaping and landscaping works is redefining the project’s public realm, with expanded green areas designed to balance density with livability. Officials briefed the CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin on ongoing asphalt works, pedestrian-friendly pathways, and an integrated internal transportation system aimed at reducing carbon footprint while enhancing accessibility.
CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin emphasized that NSIT City is not merely an infrastructure project but a strategic investment in Punjab’s knowledge economy. “Every design choice must serve people, productivity, and the future,” he stressed, underscoring the importance of high-quality public spaces, climate-resilient landscaping, and smart mobility solutions. The vision is clear: position NSIT City as a world-class technology ecosystem that meets global expectations while responding to local urban needs.
Meanwhile, CBD Walk, another flagship mixed-use development, has entered a critical construction phase. Excavation and foundation works have been completed, with raft foundations successfully laid for 32 units. Construction teams are now progressing with retaining wall shuttering and concrete pouring, marking a visible transition from groundwork to vertical momentum.
CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin closely reviewed structural progress, reiterating the importance of precision in foundational works. Raft foundations, a key engineering choice for load distribution and long-term stability, reflect CBD Punjab’s emphasis on durability and safety in dense urban environments. “Strong cities begin with strong foundations, both structurally and in planning,” Amin noted during the inspection.
The reviews were attended by senior leadership, including Executive Director Technical Riaz Hussain, Director Architecture & Planning Sameer Aftab Sial, Director Construction Asif Babar, Director Project Management Asif Iqbal, Director Engineering Umar Hayat, along with representatives from NESPAK. Their presence reinforced the collaborative, multi-disciplinary oversight model CBD Punjab is adopting to ensure timely delivery without compromising standards.
Across both projects, sustainability emerged as a central theme, from green area expansion and efficient internal transport systems at NSIT City to responsible construction practices and material quality at CBD Walk. Transparency in planning, rigorous monitoring, and adherence to international compliance frameworks remain non-negotiable pillars of CBD Punjab’s development strategy. As Punjab’s urban landscape evolves, these projects represent more than construction milestones. They signal a shift toward disciplined, globally aligned urban development, one where quality, sustainability, and long-term value define progress.
