Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited (PMEX) has announced a strategic investment in Naymat Collateral Management Company Limited (NCMCL), reinforcing its commitment to support the building of modern storage infrastructure for regulated commodity and agricultural markets in Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pursuant to the Board of Directors of PMEX approvingthe investment for the acquisition andfollowing regulatory approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), PMEX has acquired a majority stake, making NCMCL a subsidiary of the Exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This acquisition is expected to significantly enhance Naymat\u2019s capabilities in providing collateral management service and warehousing\u2014critical building blocks for developing efficient, transparent, and delivery-backed agricultural markets in Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The development comes at a pivotal time as PMEX accelerates its efforts to launch physically deliverable agricultural commodity futures trading. PMEX has listed key agricultural commodities including wheat, rice, sugar, and maize, aimed at creating a structured and regulated marketplace for these essential products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
