The newly elected office-bearers of the Islamic Lawyers Movement (ILM), District Rawalpindi, took oath during a dignified ceremony held at the District Bar Association Rawalpindi on Saturday following the reorganization of the district chapter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ceremony was presided over by Zafar-ul-Hasan Joiya, Advocate, President of ILM North Punjab Region, while Imran Shafiq, Advocate Supreme Court and former President of ILM North Punjab, administered the oath to the newly elected office-bearers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Advocate Zahid Kiani was sworn in as President, while Hammad Abbasi, Advocate, assumed office as General Secretary. Saqib-ur-Rehman Chauhan, Advocate, Anees-ur-Rehman Abbasi, Advocate, and Malik Mumtaz Awan, Advocate took oath as Senior Vice Presidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muhammad Ishraq Abbasi, Advocate, Izhar-ul-Haq, Advocate, and Sajid Khokhar, Advocate were sworn in as Vice Presidents, while Zeeshan Farooq, Advocate assumed charge as Deputy General Secretary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other office-bearers include Tanveer Abbas Bhatta, Advocate, as Joint Secretary; Zahid Khokhar, Advocate, as Press Secretary; Mudassar, Advocate, as Deputy Press Secretary; Sakhawat, Advocate, as Assistant Press Secretary; Danish Bilal, Advocate, and Usman Afridi, Advocate, as Coordinators; Raja Sikandar Gakhar, Advocate, as Liaison Secretary; and Abdul Aziz, Advocate, as Special Assistant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing the ceremony, ILM District Rawalpindi President Advocate Zahid Kiani reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to upholding the supremacy of the Constitution, ensuring the rule of law, promoting the impartial administration of justice, safeguarding Islamic values, and strengthening the judicial system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also underscored the importance of collective efforts for the welfare of the legal fraternity, the preservation of professional dignity, and the promotion of justice in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A large number of lawyers attended the ceremony and congratulated the newly elected office-bearers.
