UNILEVER PAKISTAN HOSTS COMPETITION COMMISSION OF PAKISTAN FOR EMPLOYEE TRAINING ON COMPETITION LAW
Unilever Pakistan hosted the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) at its Head Office for a dedicated training session on competition law, reaffirming the company’s commitment to ethical business practices, regulatory compliance, and responsible corporate conduct.
The session brought together senior officials from the CCP to share insights into the role of competition law in promoting fair markets and supporting a transparent business environment. The programme provided employees with practical knowledge to help strengthen a culture of integrity and compliance across the organisation.

In his remarks, Farid Ahmad Tarar, Chairman, Competition Commission of Pakistan, said: “Competition compliance begins with awareness. During the training, Dr. Ikram ul Haq, Director General (Head of Market Intelligence Unit), CCP, provided an overview of the Commission’s functions and mandate. Ms. Marryum Pervaiz, Secretary to the Commission and Head of Merger & Acquisition and Advocacy, CCP, discussed deceptive marketing practices and mergers and acquisitions, while Ms. Maliha Quddus, Director (Cartels), CCP, shared insights into abuse of dominant position and prohibited agreements.
The programme also included an interactive question-and-answer session, allowing participants to engage directly with the speakers and discuss the practical application of the topics covered.
